Welcome to the world of Balerno Theatre Company

We are currently working on two forthcoming productions, one of them being a new website, hence the fact that you only have this beautiful page to look at. So please be patient - the wait will be worth it.

Our other major production is our next show "Hello, Dolly!" coming to the Church Hill Theatre on 14th-17th December 2011. We held our auditions at the beginning of June and have just started rehearsing, and as always, it's an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza full of big musical numbers and colourful characters. With a cast of 60, prepare to be enthralled!

Community theatre is for everyone

If you have enjoyed our previous performances, or have always yearned to tread the boards, imagine what it would be like to take part. You might just want to help make costumes, build our set, sell tickets or perhaps you want to be up there on that stage.

You will be welcomed by a friendly, enthusiastic and fun group of people of all ages. We rehearse at Currie High School, have an active social calendar and make lots of new friends every year.

Car Scavenger Hunt
in aid of Balerno Theatre Company

Get revving... We are planning an exciting car rally/treasure hunt through the Balerno area - picking up clues and bizarre items as you go. Ending up with a night of food, boogying and prizes. Can you beat your friends and neighbours? All you will need is a car, a map, a camera, your eyesight and a bit of brainpower!

All proceeds go towards Balerno Theatre Company. Cost £25 per car - you can fill your car with any combination provided it's legal! We have a maximum of 25 cars - so book your place now by calling Audrey Jones on 0131 451 5644.

Weekend Les Miserables Masterclass

Exclusive for Balerno Theatre Company. A weekend Les Miserables Masterclass with Andy Reiss, former Director of Cameron Mackintosh's Les Miserables touring company and founder and frontman of the Beyond The Barricade touring show. Using material from Les Miserables, you will expand and enhance your performance skills, vocal technique, dialogue delivery and stagecraft. This is the second workshop we have run with Andy.
